MEDICAL AID POST FOR SABARIMALA PILGRIMS AT ARANMULA

Anticipating the much-needed requirement to provide medical services to the multitudes of pilgrims visiting Sabarimala, Muthoot Healthcare rose to fulfill a long-felt need to start a Medical Aid Post within the premises of the Aranmula Parthasarthy Temple in November 2014. The Muthoot Healthcare Medical Aid post was inaugurated by Dr.Sreenivasan, Superintendent of Police, Pathanamthitta in the presence of Dr.Georgie Kurien Muthoot, Executive Director, Muthoot Healthcare, Dr.Vivek R Rejathalal, Specialist in Emergency Medicine, Mathew Kurien, General Manager-Operations and other senior personnel.

The Medical Aid post which functions with the services of a full time trained Emergency Medicine Technician from the Healthcare provider also provides medicines absolutely free of cost. Services are provided from 6am to 6pm, with the delivery of first aid being a priority. An ambulance is also actively stationed at the camp to transport emergency cases to Muthoot Healthcare.

The need to establish an aid post was also emphasized by the Aranmula Police Team. The Parthasarathy Temple is a converging point for all Sabarimala Pilgrims who pay obeisance at the temple and then proceed to Sabarimala. Accesibility to superior healthcare services have been a timely boon to these religious travellers who have no middle point in between to access services, in case the need arises in transit.
