Muthoot Finance Inaugurates Radio Parvaaz Center at District Jail, Meerut

Muthoot Finance, in collaboration with India Vision Foundation, founded by Dr. Kiran Bedi, launched the Radio Parvaaz Centre at District Jail Meerut under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, marking a meaningful step towards prison reform and inmate rehabilitation. The project introduced an internal radio broadcasting system within the prison premises, supported by a fully equipped studio and essential infrastructure. A selected inmate was trained as the in-house Radio Jockey (RJ), making the platform interactive and engaging for fellow inmates. The broadcast features music, motivational talks, life skills, emotional intelligence, social awareness, cultural programmes, and real-life stories of transformation through 246 curated audio capsules aired daily.

The initiative is expected to benefit around 3,000 inmates by promoting emotional well-being, informal learning, self-expression, and behavioural rehabilitation, while creating a more positive and reform-oriented prison environment.
